Q?Is there a way for me to receive my credits if I am unable to attend the seminar?
A.

We offer a video presentation of the seminars that can be used to earn your state-mandated PDH credits in most states. Contact us for more information on the video presentation. If you need credits prior to the 2017 seminar dates, we have several options: Purchase the 2016 PDS Seminar video; visit PDHengineer.com/PDS for a 20% discount on online self-study courses and live webinars; or visit PDHcourses.com for audio and video courses by mail.

Q?Do the seminars include the required ethics course?
A.

Yes, each of our seminars offers the ethics course required by many states.

Q?Do I receive a special rate for the hotel room?
A.

Yes, simply ask for the Professional Development Seminar rate when you are making your reservations. Please make your reservations as early as possible to receive the reduced rate.

Q?How do I receive proof of my PDHs?
A.

Completion certificates for proof of PDHs will be issued at the conclusion of the seminar.

Q?Who are the speakers?
A.

The speakers include various professional engineers, attorneys, CEO’s, and technical representatives.

Q?What information is presented in the topics?
A.

The program focuses on ethics, design codes, health-safety-general welfare, technical competency requirements, and regulations. For a full list of previous topics, please refer to the Seminar page.

Q?How long do the sessions last?
A.

Each day will include a variety of topics. A total of 15 PDH will be awarded over the two day period.

Q?Where are these seminars held?
A.

The seminars will be held in 9 different locations around the Southeast and Midwest. In 2017 the locations include Dallas, Little Rock, Houston, New Orleans, Memphis, Chicago, St. Louis, Atlanta, and Nashville.

Q?What if I can only attend one day of the seminar?
A.

You are able to register for a single day of the seminar for $250, and you will receive 7.5 PDHs for that day.

Q?What if I register after ten days prior to the seminar?
A.

Your late registration fee will be $550.

Q?How do I pay for the seminar?
A.

Either register and pay online or complete the mail-in registration form and include payment by check, money order or credit card. You can either pay a $25 deposit or pay in full at the time of registration. If you pay only the deposit, the balance will be collected at registration between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. on the first day of your seminar.

Q?How do I register?
A.

Register by phone, mail or online. To register by phone, call Suzette Murillo at 281 661-3344. Credit card payments can be accepted by phone. To register by mail, print and complete the Registration Form and mail along with payment. To register online, make your payment and online and then follow the instructions.

Q?How much does the two-day seminar cost?
A.

The fee for the 2-day seminar is $500 per person, which includes breakfast, a hot buffet lunch, and refreshment and snack breaks on both days. If you choose to attend Day 1 only or Day 2 only, the cost is $250.

Q?What are my state’s requirements for PDH?
A.

A useful resource for general information regarding the various states’ PDH requirements can be found on our affiliated site, PDHengineer.com. Note that each PDS seminar is designed to ensure acceptance of PDH credit in the state in which the seminar is held. Call us for assistance if you are licensed in a state other than the one in which the seminar is held. PDS is a subsidiary of Decatur Professional Development, LLC. Due to rules of the New York Board, engineers registered in New York may earn a lower number of PDH credits than engineers registered in other states.
