Program Details

Professional Development Seminars (PDS) has been providing live, interactive seminars for engineers throughout the South and Midwest for over 25 years. Upon completion of a PDS 2-day seminar, you will earn 15 PDH to fulfill your mandatory continuing education requirements.

PDS seminars are specifically designed to educate and engage professional engineers of all disciplines. There are five 75-minute sessions each day covering timely topics presented by a variety of engineers, attorneys and other subject matter experts. Whether you are a civil, mechanical, structural or electrical engineer, there’s something for everybody.

Every seminar includes a 1 PDH ethics program that is required by many state boards. You may wish to attend only one day of the seminar to earn 7.5 PDH. Note that only one of the days is guaranteed to have an ethics program. Please check the detailed agenda if you require the ethics credit.

The agenda varies in each city. You can find the updated agenda for each city on the schedule. It’s updated frequently as topics are added to the schedule. Since these are live seminars, last minute substitution of topics and/or speakers may occur due to unforeseen circumstances.

State Board Acceptance

A useful resource for general information regarding the various states’ PDH requirements can be found on our affiliated site, PDHengineer.com. Note that each PDS seminar is designed to ensure acceptance of PDH credit in the state in which the seminar is held.

Call us for assistance if you are licensed in a state other than the one in which the seminar is held. PDS is a subsidiary of Decatur Professional Development, LLC. Florida Continuing Education Provider #0003610. New York State Education Department Approved Sponsor #25. Due to rules of the New York Board, engineers registered in New York may earn a lower number of PDH credits than engineers registered in other states.

The PDS Guarantee: If your state board does not accept any PDH credits that you earn at a PDS seminar, we will provide online courses equal to the disallowed number of PDH credits from our affiliated site, PDHengineer.com, at no additional charge.

Certificate of Completion

You will receive a certificate of completion for 15 PDH as you exit the seminar meeting room at the end of Day 2 of the seminar. If you attend Day 1 only or Day 2 only, then you will receive a certificate of completion for 7.5 PDH as you exit the seminar meeting room at the end of the day that you attend.
